Front seat headrests force head too far forward
By Ken | on Friday, June 21, 2019

This is our 2nd Highlander Hybrid and we are keeping our 2008. My gripe is with the front seat headrests that force one's head too far forward and are not adjustable like the Subaru's. The 2008 is comfortable, but the 2019 is not because of the headrest. It's especially a problem now that I have sciatica and should keep my back straighter and my hip rotated a bit forward.…
All is Aweome but the Voice Recognition/NAV a ZERO
By bethereornot | on Monday, April 09, 2018

The ride, power and technology is awesome. But like I said in the Summary, I give the the Navigation and the Voice recognition a big fat 0 out of 10. I thought Siri could be bad, this takes bad to another level. NAV never takes the route that my phone gives me, not even close. My brother and I both bought a new Toyota about a week apart and the experience is the same for both of us, so much we joke about it on the phone because he lives 500 miles away. We will be in our SUV and say listen to this. Directions to main st Columbus Ohio, it will come back and say finding a doughnut shop closest to you (just an Example) We have both trained and retrained the system but owell we both have smart phones to rescue us and that isnt why either of us bought our SUV. I would buy it again even with the short comings of some of the techy stuff.…
Great Quality, Excellent Value with 15% off MRSP
By Sam | on Wednesday, August 07, 2019

This is my third SUV:
Lexus LX470 lasted 18 yrs, then Honda CRV and finally the Highlander.
I love this car. Got a great deal with 15% off MRSP and 5 yrs comprehensive warranty plus 2 years free maintenance. I guess the dealers want to push out their stocks before the arrival of the totally new 2020 model.
The car feels very solid and quiet. It steers very well for a car of its size. The suspension system is excellent in bumpy roads.
Engine performance is a bit lazy. I don't feel the 295HP in action. My 4 Cyl CRV was faster. But the transmission is really smooth in shifting between the 8 gears.
Even on the very basic 6 Cyl model, the car has a comprehensive set of safety options
I did not encounter the voice command problem that everyone is talking about.
All in all I feel this car will last 15 years like my LX470…
