A reputable source in the automotive world, Edmunds.com recently released a list of the "Top Rated Vehicles" on the market, and we're happy to announce that not one, but four Toyota models made the coveted list. The 2014 Highlander, Avalon, Prius and Sienna were each recognized for their outstanding capabilities, earning spots on the compilation along with other big brands in the business. Additionally, seven Toyota models also received top honors for their respective segments on the "Most Popular on Edmunds.com" list, proving that Toyota is a leading automaker with high-quality cars, trucks and SUVs.
Out of the seven Toyota models included in the 2014 "Most Popular on Edmunds.com" list, which praises cars that are at the top of their segment, the Sienna, Avalon and Highlander were the only three models to also make the "Top Rated Vehicles" list. The additional four cars that earned honors in their segments include the 2014 Toyota RAV4, Tacoma, Camry and Tundra. To be considered for this accolade, each car had to receive an outstanding number of visitors to their research and inventory pages on Edmunds.com during the 2013 calendar year. Three cars in each segment with the highest total of visitors were then included on the "Most Popular" list.
To be rewarded with a spot on Edmunds' "Top Rated Vehicles," however, each car had to be put through a series of road tests and receive an "A" rating based off of their capabilities. The Toyota Avalon, Prius, Highlander and Sienna passed each assessment with flying colors and showed Edmunds why Toyota is one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world.
