Some new crazy critters are expected to steal the show at Sea Life this spring. On Friday, April 22nd, 2016, experience some of the world’s crabbiest creatures with the opening of Claws at Sea Life Grapevine Aquarium!

This jaw-dropping exhibit will feature crustaceans like coconut crabs, rambunctious land crabs, one-of-a-kind porcupine crabs and even lobsters from around the globe.

Claws will also have the largest arthropod on display – the Japanese spider crab! This spider crab is sure to grab attention with legs that can reach 12-feet across!

Life under the sea is fascinating, so much so that humans have gone to great lengths to gain a better understanding of these water worlds through countless exploratory endeavors over the years. This exhibit allows you to see what some of the brave underwater adventurers have seen, without getting wet!

To celebrate the opening of Claws and highlight the importance of recycling, a local artist has agreed to construct a GIANT crab sculpture. This masterpiece is sure to spark attention too, because it will take more than 1,500 cans to build. As you can imagine, it’s a huge endeavor that will need people to pitch in to help get it off the ground.

From now through April 1, you’ll receive one free kid’s admission by donating five empty soda cans along with the purchase of one adult ticket. Donate five cans for each additional child ages 3-12 and their ticket is only $5.

Mark your calendars today for this exhilarating exhibit that’s sure to be a hit in the Dallas area. Visit the Grapevine Sea Life Aquarium’s official website for ticket specials and more. You can also get a sneak peek of what this exhibit will be like by clicking on the video below.
