HIS Story

Mental illnesses are much more common than many people realize. Unfortunately, it is estimated that half of the people that are suffering do not receive any treatment. Mental illnesses in our area include depression, anxiety, and trauma.

HIS Story aims to provide people with affordable access to mental health care. By helping individuals, they strive to help the community as a whole. When those who need help do not receive it, the fallout negatively impacts our healthcare system and even the economy as a whole.

This organization has two main goals. First, they provide support to individuals who are struggling. HIS Story has mental health counselors with master's and doctorate level education.

The second way this organization impact is by striving to make high-quality mental health care more affordable. Even those who cannot afford to pay, deserve to get the help they need to live a full and satisfying life.

HIS Story also offers therapy groups, mental health workshops, and training classes to further. They also provide speakers that can educate the community on topics like parenting and suicide prevention. These programs are offered to those who need them at a reduced cost or even free of charge.

Currently, HIS Story has nearly 30 highly-trained individuals helping the mental health of our community. They utilize today's most widely used practices. They include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, the Emotional Freedom Technique, and more.
