What's New For the 2020 Toyota Sequoia?
In 2020, the Toyota Sequoia gives consumers some new and exciting changes to look forward to. Now, the Sequoia family expands with the addition of a new trim level called the TRD Pro. The TRD Pro is the third trim in the lineup of five models. It is well-equipped for handling off-road driving with a variety of exterior and mechanical features designed to endure tough conditions.
Along with the new trim, the latest Sequoia also gets more off-road capabilities across the board with a new suspension system for the latest model year. The latest Sequoia is available with two different seating configurations, including bench-style seating for eight and captain's chairs for seven. The top three trims are offered with captain's chairs. All trims get a spacious cargo area and plenty of standard or available amenities.

Available Features in the 2020 Toyota Sequoia
This year, there are five trim levels of the 2020 Toyota Sequoia. The family starts with the SR5. The SR5 has a well-equipped interior featuring a new standard infotainment display system with a seven-inch display screen. You can choose a package for this trim that adds navigation to the system. However, you will get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay at a minimum.
This trim has a standard seating capacity for eight individuals. Tri-Zone climate control ensures everyone's comfort from front to back. The driver's seat is power-operated for precise comfort and support. Along with navigation, the optional package for this trim upgrades the interior with leather seats, heated seats, and a power-adjustable passenger's seat as well.
The TRD Sport, which is the next trim, gets custom Bilstein dampers, anti-roll bars in the rear, and a more rigid front end. It also gets trim-specific badges, all-weather floor mats, and skid plates. The TRD Pro offers a smooth ride with Fox shocks, unique badges, a black roof rack, and a black grille insert. With the Limited, you'll get everything from the previous trims along with power-folding and auto-dimming rear mirrors. A power-adjustable rear liftgate is standard on this trim, too.
Some features are available for a more comfortable interior, including a 14-speaker premium JBL sound system and a Blu-ray player in the back row. The Limited adds standard captain's chairs with year-round climate control, a load-leveling suspension system, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and a center console in the second row.
How Much Power does the Sequoia Have?
You have your choice of the drivetrain in all trims of the 2020 Toyota Sequoia, which is either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Rear-wheel drive is standard on all trims, while four-wheel drive is optional. All five trims share the same engine, which is a V8 with a 5.7L capacity. This powerful engine can produce just over 380 HP and 400 LB-FT of torque. The Sequoia's engine is paired with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission that has six speeds.
2020 Brings a Wide Selection of Safety Tech
Safety is abundant in the 2020 Toyota Sequoia, starting with the base trim. All trim levels are equipped with advanced airbags and seat belts. They all get several driver-assist safety aids, too. A standard safety package includes forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring.
