Children must be accompanied by a trusted adult to receive their Kidsafe package, which includes a full digital photograph and free fingerprint kit that will help police identify your child in an emergency situation.
Operation Kidsafe's layout and procedure were created with the help of FBI consultants, fingerprinting experts and Police Officials from around the nation. Parents receive hard copies of the documents and, for security purposes, no information is kept in a database.
Every year, an estimated 800,000 children go missing, and often the families do not have proper documentation to help police find them. This is one of the many reasons why Kidsafe was invented. The documents that you take home are a tool that can significantly increase the chances of finding your child if they go missing or are kidnapped.
