Laser Headlights
The next big thing in headlights looks to be laser headlights. Smaller and brighter than regular headlamps, laserlamps are being seriously considered by automakers for their longevity and efficiency. Right now, laser headlights aren't legal in the U.S., as their brightness doesn't meet federal standards, but these lights are already being tweaked to meet those regulations, so soon more and more autos will be sporting these new futuristic headlamps.
App-Driven Parking
We've all been there: searching a mall parking lot endlessly for a parking space that's not four blocks away from the entrance. Well science has an app for that! New apps like ParkMe and SpotHero allow drivers to find and reserve parking spots, as well as find their car once they're done. Automakers are starting to follow this tech trend by putting similar in-car systems into their vehicles, thus saving yet another marriage during a long trip to IKEA.
Autonomous Parking
This might sound scary - as anything does when using the word "autonomous" when talking about a car, but this interesting piece of tech is fast becoming a popular option amongst drivers. Thanks to the sensors and cameras that are standard on most cars, this new system basically parks a car by itself, with the driver just controlling the pedals and transmission.
