Toyota Venza lovers will have to snatch up the most recent model of the wagon as soon as possible. Toyota has just announced that they will be ending production of the vehicle after this model year.
"After careful consideration, Toyota has decided to wind down production of the Venza at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky (TMMK),” a Toyota spokesman told Carscoops.
Launching in 2008, the Venza is a fun marriage between a SUV and a wagon. During its time on the market, the wagon has been a popular model for many Dallas-area families. Insiders say Toyota's decision to end production on the car has to do with their desire to concentrate more on their evergreen properties like the RAV4 and the Highlander.
Daily operations at the Kentucky plant where the Venza is produced will continue as normal, with the plant continuing to put out the wagon while supplies for the car last. After that, current Venza employees will be shuffled around to other Toyota production lines. Venza lovers don’t despair though. While we may be seeing the last of this spunky wagon, Toyota will most likely reveal a new crossover/wagon model in the coming months.
