The all-new 2016 Toyota Tacoma is taking its off-roading game to the next level. This model year, the truck is getting new high-strength steel added to its frame, a refined suspension that will help improve driving conditions on multiple surfaces and a brand-new V6 engine that produces an exceptional amount of power.
“For more than 50 years adventure-seeking Americans have relied on Toyota trucks to take them places, on and off-road,” said Bill Fay, group vice president & general manager, Toyota Division. “The all-new homegrown Tacoma is a tough truck designed, developed and built for lifestyles of the young and young-at-heart.”
Off-road enthusiasts have long chosen the Toyota Tacoma as their pickup truck of choice, making it one of the bestselling models in its segment. The truck’s new high-strength steel frame will help the truck maintain an even more rigid stance, which will in turn help it maneuver over various surfaces with ease. This can also be said of the Tacoma's newly retuned suspension that has been tweaked to provide not only better off-roading agility, but also better movement on local streets and highways.
The new V6 engine on the Tacoma is a first for the truck segment: a 3.5-liter Atkinson cycle with variable valve timing and intelligent wider intake. This new engine generates 278 horsepower and is paired with a fantastic six-speed automatic transmission with electronic shift. Other great amenities include new wheel flares, LED daytime running lights and a new locking tailgate.
These are just a few of the terrific new off-roading features on the all-new 2016 Toyota Tacoma. To learn more about all the wonderful new amenities on this popular pickup truck in Grapevine, stop by Texas Toyota of Grapevine today!
