Safety, roominess and comfort are just a few of the qualities that have helped the 2016 Toyota Sienna earn two top distinctions. It was recently named as one of the 10 best family cars of the year and also earned an award for Best Minivan. Edmunds.com and Parents magazine teamed up to hand down the accolades.

Fuel efficiency, and interior and exterior craftsmanship were other attributes that helped the Toyota minivan earn these prestigious distinctions. “The endlessly roomy Sienna stands above its competitors for two reasons: It’s the only one with available all-wheel drive, and the especially user-friendly controls help you stay focused on the road,” Parents magazine writes.

Sienna is offered in five grades: L, LE, SE, XLE and Limited. And no matter which one you choose, Toyota has made safety a top priority in all of them. Standard features include antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, and a slew of airbags: front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, a driver-side knee airbag and a front passenger seat cushion airbag. Purchasers of the award-winning minivan can also opt for blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors.

You’ll also have no problem keeping the little ones entertained on those long family road trips with the available rear-seat entertainment system, which features a split-screen monitor that allows a movie on one side and a video game on the other to play simultaneously. In addition, all 2016 Sienna models come with a touchscreen interface that is easy to navigate, as well as Siri Eyes Free.

On top of these benefits, there’s also various storage bins and cupholders throughout the Sienna’s cabin, making storage easier.
