Review the 2016 Tundra from Toyota Dealer in Grapevine
With available extended Double Cab models, navigation, infotainment, several bed sizes, and the ability to tow between 9,800 and 10,500 when properly equipped, the Toyota Tundra is deserving of its motto: Work ready. Family tough.
When shopping for a 2016 Toyota Tundra in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, you'll have three cab and bed length options to choose from, along with a choice of two wheelbases. Regular, Double and CrewMax cabs are offered and the latter two provide seating for up to five or six passengers, making them an excellent option for families. Bed lengths include a short 5.5-foot bed, standard 6.5-foot bed and long 8.1-foot bed.
Options are further expanded when it comes down to trim levels, which vary depending on your selected truck configuration, but all together include: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition and TRD Pro. This year, front-end styling on the 1794 Edition and SR5 has been updated. The 1794 Edition is also newly available with the TRD Off-Road package. In addition, all models receive updated Entune multimedia systems. Edmunds.com's 2016 Toyota Tundra review calls the truck's tech features user-friendly too, so you don't have to worry about confusing menus or controls.
Under the hood, two V8 engines are available. SR double cabs and all versions of the SR5 come equipped with a 4.6-liter V8 engine that delivers 310 horsepower and 327 pound-feet of torque. A larger 5.7-liter V8 is standard on all remaining models and produces 381 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque; models equipped with this engine receive a larger gas tank this year. Test drive a 2016 Toyota Tundra in the Dallas metroplex and try out both powerplants for yourself to see which best suits your needs.
Passenger safety was a key concern when developing the Tundra as well, so along with its firm structure the pickup comes standard with eight standard airbags, stability and traction control, antilock brakes, electronic brake-force distribution, smart stop brake override technology and brake assist. Parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot warning are also available on select trim levels.
