The 2020 Toyota Highlander is now the latest upcoming Toyota vehicle to come from the company and the newest to come from the Highlander model series. For the 2020 year, the Highlander has seen a complete redesign in its styling, with more streamlines sculpting, a larger cargo area and simply looks sleeker.
The 2020 Highlander comes with five different trim levels, the L, LE, XLE, Limited and Platinum levels. The L and LE trims are the two most basic and come with similar standard features such as cloth upholstery, but the LE also adds in a blind spot monitoring system, a power liftgate and a leather-trimmed steering wheel. The XLE trim level is the next step up and adds in features such as a 10-way power driver seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a slide moon roof. The Limited trim brings in more features and contains interior lighting, projector-beam headlamps, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a chrome trim black grille. The Platinum is the most advanced trim and contains many of the same features as other trims but also includes a silver-painted front bumper, a panoramic moon roof, embossed leather seating, and 20-inch wheels
The 2020 Toyota Highlander is gifted with an engine that can deliver a high outfit and keep it running in prime condition when needed. The engine is very similar to the previous year's model, coming out with a 295 horsepower rating, though the new hybrid can get up to 306 horsepower. All-wheel drive is a feature that is optional, combined with having a four-cylinder powertrain and is capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds of weight. When it comes to fuel, the Highlander has a mileage of 34 combined miles per gallon.
The Toyota Highlander is a safe vehicle and comes with an array of safety and security features to ensure it is both comfortable and secure for all occupants. The standard safety features are obviously included in this model, starting with rear door safety locks for the younger passengers. There is also a pre-collision warning system that alerts the driver of any potential or imminent impacts that may occur. A lane departure warning system is in place to automatically correct the vehicle with steering assist feature if it senses the driver is veering out of the driving lane. Automatic high beams are a feature for extra brightness, in addition to fog driving lights for seeing in any and all conditions. For the more advanced trims, there is now a 360-degree camera mounted on the outside to increase driver awareness and visibility in all areas, especially any blind spots.
