What's New For the 2020 Toyota Prius?

In the latest model year, the Toyota Prius mostly gets updates to its safety and technology features. This time around, the Prius offers trickle-down technology that provides the lower-level trims with more advanced safety amenities. This year, all six trims of the Toyota Prius come standard with the Toyota Safety Sense package of safety aids that includes forward collision avoidance, automatic braking, lane-keep assist, and lane departure warning.

Other safety features come standard on the higher-level trims as well. All trim levels of the Prius now include Toyota's Safety Connect technology as well. Additional technology features are included in this year's Prius as well. In 2020, all trims of the Prius come with a seven-inch display screen. Amazon Alexa, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay are standard on the 2020 infotainment system, which also supports smartphone pairing.

Along with these improvements, you'll still find that the Toyota Prius offers its class-leading fuel economy with a hybrid electric motor and gasoline engine mechanical system. The Prius also gets a large windshield with above-average visibility. A smooth cabin and comfortable ride make the Prius pleasant to drive through town or on the highway.
