The fully redesigned 2016 Toyota Prius debuted in Las Vegas earlier this month. This is the first update the Prius has received in 7 years, making this a big moment for hybrid car fans around the world.
"Prius set the global benchmark for hybrids," said Bill Fay, an executive at Toyota. "But now [it] is breaking its own boundaries with more engaging style and fun-to-drive dynamics."
It is the car's "fun-to-drive dynamics" that have made the Prius the world's leading hybrid car, selling thousands of models every year. It's new design invokes a much sportier look for the popular green car, including a brand new swooping aesthetic, as well as a more luxurious interior. The car is also increasing its fuel efficiency, thanks to a new platform that is smaller and lighter.
Other big changes on the 2016 Prius include the car's new higher-energy batteries and new thermal-efficient internal combustion system. The Prius is also getting a new "Eco" model that will provide even more fuel economy for drivers who want the ultimate hybrid experience.
The all-new 2016 Toyota Prius is due to arrive at Texas Toyota of Grapevine sometime this fall. For now, take a look at our current selection of the Toyota Prius in Grapevine!
