What's New for the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser?
As the oldest current-running nameplate for Toyota, the Land Cruiser enters the 2018 model year with no changes. Currently sold as a J200 model-which denotes its present production cycle since 2007-the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser is produced as a big four-wheel-drive SUV that is primed for off-roading, in addition to occasional commuting.

Premium Features in the 2018 Land Cruiser
The 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser has three rows of seats, which accommodate up to eight people. The space between the third row and liftgate serves as 16.1 cubic feet of cargo space, with the option of expanding it for a maximum accommodation of 81.7 cubic feet by folding down the second and third rows. Standard in the cabin are perforated leather upholstery, front-seat heating and ventilating capability, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, driver-side 10-way power adjustability and power lumbar support, and a three-position memory function. For more comfort and convenience, the Land Cruiser has four-zone automatic climate control, a smart key system with push-button engine ignition, a multi-terrain monitor, wireless charging capability, auto-dimming ability on the rearview mirror, a garage-door opener, and a power moonroof. Entertainment is provided by a sophisticated 14-speaker Entune⢠Premium JBLĀ® Audio system. Entune⢠comes with several benefits, which include AM/FM radio, a single-disc CD player, HD Radioā¢, a three-month trial SiriusXMĀ® satellite radio subscription, voice recognition, hands-free wireless technology for phone operation and audio streaming, SiriĀ® Eyes Free voice-command technology, a USB audio port for hooking up mobile devices, and 9-inch touchscreen navigation.
Hefty Performance On or Off-Road
Under the hood of the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser is a 5.7-liter V8 engine codenamed 3UR-FE; it generates 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque. The engine is hitched to an electronically controlled 8-speed automatic transmission, which comes with a sequential shift mode and uphill/downhill shift logic for adapting better to gear changes according to driving speed and operation. Four-wheel drive is standard on the Land Cruiser for maximizing performance on any type of terrain. Also bolstering the Land Cruiser's off-road capabilities are a relatively high ground clearance of 8.9 inches for better assurance of undercarriage protection, multi-terrain select mode for optimal performance on any type of terrain, and five-speed crawl control with off-road turn assist for potent low-speed off-road driving in extreme conditions. Because of its powertrain configuration, the 2018 Land Cruiser has a maximum towing capacity of 8,100 lbs., and it can get approximately 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway.
Advanced Safety Technologies
Most of the safety features on the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser are classified into two categories: Toyota Safety Sense⢠P (TSS-P) and Star Safety Systemā¢.
