The biggest change you will notice is the addition of a new special edition, known as the RAV4 Adventure. There are a total of six trim options available for the 2018 Toyota RAV4: LE, XLE, Adventure, SE, Limited, and Platinum. Of these six options, four of the trims (LE, XLE, SE, and Limited) also offer a hybrid option. Standard features across all trims include distance pacing cruise control, three DC power outlets, telescoping steering wheel, day-to-night rearview mirror, remote keyless entry, auto-lock doors, USB port, and speed-sensitive volume. Additionally, all RAV4 trim levels come standard with one of the largest cargo spaces in the compact SUV class. Behind the back seat, there are an impressive 38.4 cubic feet of space, which increases to 73.4 cubic feet with the second row of seats folded down. However, there are a number of other features available at higher trim levels that make upgrading a sensible choice. Some of these include a built-in navigation system, satellite radio, 7-inch touchscreen (compared to the 6.1-inch standard screen), phone integration, automatic climate control, and 11-speaker audio.

By switching the engine from "Eco" mode to "Sport" mode, you'll find that acceleration is faster and easier, which means that horsepower is being put to good use.

As with the standard edition, the RAV4 hybrid option comes with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. However, it tops out at 194 horsepower, as opposed to 176. Fuel economy for the hybrid RAV4 is an impressive 34 mpg* in the city and 30 on the highway. However, the standard RAV4 comes in not too far behind with 23 mpg* in the city and 29 mpg* on the highway-both of which are on par with the compact SUV class.
