What's New For the 2021 Toyota Tacoma?

While the Tacoma is a successful vehicle all on its own, Toyota has decided to make a few changes to the latest version for 2021. If you're looking to purchase something limited and unique, the Limited Edition trim level of the Tacoma will feature just 7000 different models. Based on the SR5 trim level, you'll get a lot included in this option. Rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are both optional. The tires are upgraded to include 16-inch TRD all-terrain tires. Blackened badges and special edition floor mats (all-weather) compliment the new grille on the front. There's even a locking storage cabinet in the cab to keep all of your items safe.

What Features Are Available for 2021?

It might take you some time to sort through the eight trim levels in the 2021 Tacoma lineup, but it's worth looking at the range of features included. The base model SR is exceptionally affordable and comes with basic interior features. You can upgrade to the SR5, TRD Sport, Trail Special Edition, TRD Off-Road package, Limited, Nightshade, and TRD Pro. The middle of the road trim level that gets you a little of everything without spending a ton of money is the TRD Off-Road edition. Standard features include a standard rear differential, V6 engine, automatic transmission, 16-inch wheels, and access to a driver's assistance technology package. The higher trim levels have convenience features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM radio, and black-over fenders.

Toyota Tacoma Safety at the Forefront

Some of the standard safety features included in the Tacoma are forward-collision monitoring technology that will warn you of a vehicle in front of you that you're approaching too quickly, automated emergency braking if you don't react soon enough, and lane departure warning if you're drifting outside of your designated lane.
