What's New For the 2021 Toyota Tundra?

The Toyota Tundra gets some notable changes in 2021. This year there are two new appearance packages added to the lineup, a Nightshade Edition with a custom appearance package with an all-black interior and outer shell, and the Trail Special Edition, an off-road trim based on the TRD Pro. The Trail Special Edition also features a few more creature comforts and additional storage capacity for holding your belongings. The TRD Pro is now available with a new color in 2021 called Lunar Rock, designed to replace the Army Green color scheme available in past years.

2021 Tundra Has Abundant Features

Six trims are available for the Toyota Tundra in 2021. Starting in the SR, configured with a six-speaker audio system. It has a variety of advanced safety aids too, and it has a user-friendly seven-inch display screen. An integrated brake for the trailer is part of the package. The SR5 has an eight-inch display screen instead. It also adds a tilt-telescopic steering wheel. Front bucket seats are available through a package, along with an off-road kit and multiple USB ports. You can also get an audio system with up to nine speakers.

The Trail Edition adds durability with all-terrain tires, and it has seats with a black-and-tan color scheme. The Limited has a silver-lined grille, 20-inch wheels, and dual-zone climate control. The Platinum has heated and ventilated seating, full leather seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The TRD Pro has custom fog lights and a custom grille.

How Well Does the 2021 Toyota Tundra Perform?

All 2021 Toyota Tundra trims share an eight-cylinder engine with a 5.7L displacement. The engine produces about 380 HP on all trims, along with slightly more than 400 LB-FT in torque for a maximum tow rating of 10,200 pounds. An automatic transmission is also standard across the board. Four-wheel drive is an available drivetrain, while rear-wheel drive is standard.

Numerous safety amenities are standard on the Tundra. It comes with automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. Parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring are available through a package.
