What's New For the Toyota Camry TRD?

Toyota introduced the performance-oriented and racing-inspired TRD trim to the 2020 Camry. TRD, for Toyota Racing Development, considerably adds more fire to Camry's performance and handling abilities. This year's Camry is the newest entrant of the eighth generation Camry introduced in 2018.

What features are available on the Camry TRD model?

The Camry TRD essentially includes the Camry XSE trim offerings and adds several aesthetic, and performance-related features, such as a TRD black paint motif: 19-inch matte-black alloy wheels with red-painted calipers, piano-black front splitters, black sport front seats with red accents, and TRD piano-black rear spoiler. Other features include TRD cat-back exhaust with polished stainless steel tips, TRD-tuned suspension, extra chassis bracing, aero side skirts and rear diffuser featuring red pinstriping, keyless entry, ignition, and driver-selectable driving modes.

Camry TRD has Great Performance

The Toyota Camry TRD is gifted with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that can deliver an impressive 301 hp, 267 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed shiftable automatic transmission and drives the front wheels. This powerhouse engine gets great fuel economy, getting a combined 25 mpg.

Camry TRD Safety Technologies

The Toyota Camry TRD is made as a secure vehicle and comes with a ton of safety features that ensure it is a smooth and safe ride for all. A lane departure alert system is one of the safety features included in this model, and this feature simply alerts the driver if it detects that the vehicle is starting to leave the designated driving lane. A pre-collision and post-collision safety system has been included here, both to warn the driver of any impending collisions and to give status updates on the car if a crash has already taken place. An emergency braking system is in place to give drivers a way to stop the car at a very abrupt time. For more advanced trims, turn signal mirrors and rear height adjustable headrests are now an included feature.
