What's New for the 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser?
The Toyota Land Cruiser continues to stand out in the midsize SUV segment with vintage proportions, standard full-time four-wheel drive, and all-terrain engineering. For 2027, the Land Cruiser introduces newly available heated and ventilated outboard second-row seats, offering rear passengers premium comfort. The rest of the lineup carries forward its successful formula: a standard hybrid powertrain that produces ample low-end torque, balanced road manners, standard locking center and rear differentials, and flexible cargo utility.
What Are the 2027 Land Cruiser Trims & Features?
The 2027 Land Cruiser lineup is organized into two distinct trim grades: the vintage-inspired 1958 and the generously equipped Land Cruiser.
1958
Serving as the heritage-oriented base trim, the 1958 features round retro LED headlights, standard LED fog lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a heritage front grille with classic "TOYOTA" lettering. Inside, the cabin includes durable black cloth upholstery, manually adjustable heated front seats, automatic climate control, and a 7-inch digital gauge cluster. Tech essentials include an 8-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a six-speaker audio system, and a high-output 2,400-watt AC cargo inverter. Standard trail equipment includes full-time four-wheel drive, a two-speed transfer case, center and rear locking differentials, and CRAWL Control.
Land Cruiser
The namesake Land Cruiser grade adds modern styling, elevated comfort, and serious off-road hardware. Exterior upgrades include slim rectangular LED headlights, color-selectable Rigid Industries LED fog lights, roof rails, and a power liftgate. Mechanically, it adds Toyota's front Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism (SDM) for enhanced suspension articulation, Multi-Terrain Select (MTS), and a Multi-Terrain Monitor with a 360-degree Panoramic View camera. The cabin is upgraded with SofTex synthetic leather upholstery, heated and ventilated power front seats with driver memory, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, three-zone automatic climate control, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen, and a 10-speaker sound system.
The Premium Package is available exclusively on the Land Cruiser grade. It upgrades the cabin with genuine leather seating, a 14-speaker JBL premium sound system, a power moonroof, a head-up display (HUD), a digital rearview mirror, a center console cool box, a wireless phone charger, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, and Lane Change Assist.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2027 Land Cruiser Have?

Together, the system develops 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque, with maximum torque kicking in at 1,700 RPM. When properly equipped, it provides a maximum towing capacity of up to 6,000 pounds.
