The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has just awarded Toyota with seven Top Safety Pick awards for some of its most popular models. This is the most awards given to any other automaker by the Institute this year, which included IIHS's highest honor of Top Safety Pick+.

In-car infotainment systems have been growing in popularity for the past few years. No more are drivers subject to the merciless will of a radio DJ. Now drivers are able to take full control of their in-car entertainment with just a touch of a button. For Toyota, that button is connected to their fabulous Entune system, which provides an exceptional range of options from SiriusXM satellite radio and Bluetooth connectivity to GPS capabilities.

Families looking for a larger and more spacious hybrid car will fall in love with the charming Toyota Prius V. This new hybrid has already hooked many Texas families, who love the car's excellent cargo and passenger space, fantastic fuel economy and fun tech amenities. For its 2015 model year, the Prius V is updating the hybrid's front end styling and taillights. It's also imbuing the Prius with new family-oriented tech features as well.

The 2015 Toyota Tundra is losing its base V6 engine option this year in favor of the newly standard (and more powerful) 381hp 5.7-liter V8 engine. This new powertrain will come standard on both the regular cab and the TRD Pro models on the Tundra, while both trucks will also come standard with four- and rear-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Racing fans got some very good news last month when Toyota revealed its newest NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car. Built from the newly redesigned 2015 Toyota Camry, the new Sprint Cup car will be making its debut at the Daytona International Speedway in February.
